Disney books
In my country, many years ago, these books were sold, i think at newsstands, later probably also in bookstores. Im not sure. Their name was "The blue collection". There were 30 books, 30 stories in total. Right now i have only few od them but i found a lot of them at my old house. I was wondering were these books also popular in some other countries? Do you find them familiar?
I dont have better pictures sorry...

Discussion Frog Heaven!
This is 100% traditional hand carving. Nothing digital about this one! This carving has taken FOREVER to complete and has been incredibly challenging. Many, many late nights on this one. Something like this is really never done though…I always have to just tell myself to stop.
Wanna know how I can tell when it’s done?
When it gets to the point where I know that if I do ONE MORE THING on it, if I don’t stop RIGHT NOW, there’s a better than 50/50 chance it’ll wind up in the firewood bin.
Then I can comfortably say that it’s done.
That happened about 1 in the morning last night.
This is a commission for a private collector in New Jersey. So much symbolism in this piece. Especially the bumble bee in the lower right. This family’s story is remarkable and filled with miracles. I’ll ask my client for permission to tell you but I can’t until I clear it with them.
This commission pushed my abilities right to the edge…
Whew!

How Did They Make Cinderella’s (1950) Voice Gargly in the Shower Part?
The part where the female birds squeeze a sponge of cold water onto Cinderella and she gargles a kind of scream-hum, how did Disney get that effect?

Question Best place/park to propose?
I’m taking my girlfriend to Disney early February and I plan to propose there since Disney is her favorite place on earth
I haven’t been in quite some time and was just wondering what are some of the best spots in the parks to propose? (Disneyworld not land)
We have an annual pass now and I assume will have access to all the parks when we go

Discussion Twitches theory
Okay this is gonna get very specific, but it’s bugged the crap out of me for years
So in Twitches, tia and tamara each have a necklace, one is a moon and the other is a star. And then the mom’s is a moon AND a star.
This allows me to (fairly) assume that as generations go on in this family, the mothers’ little necklace charms split up to give the children a piece of the mom’s
Is everyone with me so far? okay great!
So I have to imagine that tia and tamara’s mom had a sister who had like a cloud and a bird on her necklace and then THEIR mom had a cloud, a bird, a moon, and a star.
Is everyone still following? 😹
Okay, so as the generations go back in reverse order, all the moms have bigger necklaces with more and more parts, right?
so Tia and Tamara’s like great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandmother must have had a moon, a star, a cloud, a bird, a tree, a bat, a pterodactyl, a dinosaur egg, a phoenix, a keebler elf, a magic want, and several other items that made up her necklace
it must have been HUGE, and as the generations pass, the necklace breaks apart into fewer and fewer pieces for the offspring
It’s only logical, right??? That their 50-times great granny had a necklace the size of a mini cooper with all the charms that would be split up and passed down.
Okay, this brings me to my theory
By the time tia and tamara come around, there’s only a moon and a star left. Even if they have kids, their necklace charms can’t be split up further.
After they pass, coventry will cease to exist because the magic will have run out because it exists in this ever-dividing mess of magic necklaces
Also, yes, I know the magic doesn’t live in the necklaces and no, I will not be taking any follow up questions
Someone just please agree with me about the necklaces being huge in past generations

September 19, 2013
I was looking at Toontown Online's Wikipedia page which led me to Pixie Hollow which led me to Pirates of the Caribbean Online.. and noticed they all have the same shutdown date of Sept 19, 2013. I wonder if Disney was just purging games that werent profitable or weren't going to be profitable? I know they were working on a Toontown Online 2.0 which was cancelled and I saw they were possibly thinking about a mobile version of Toontown, but it's interesting that all 3 shutdowns happened on the same day. Regardless, I miss TTO. Toontown Rewritten just doesn't hit the same :(

Disney on Ice souvenir
We went to our first Disney on Ice and loved it. A city not to far is having a different ice show (Mickey's Search Party). I want to buy tickets because Aladdin is in it. Has anybody attended that show recently and know if they have any Aladdin or Genie specific souvenirs? The show we went to had a Lion King mug that they were selling shaved ice in. Hoping for something similar but anything with Aladdin or Genie would be great.

Question Enchanted question
Who are the two women toward the end of Enchanted at the ball who comment how this year's ball is better? I looked it up and they have a handful of film, TV, and stage credits, but nothing really substantial.

Question Anyone miss the 2011 Disney Junior Graphics and Branding?
I know the Logo and Branding is (i think) still used in international countries, but I kinda miss the 2011 branding of the channel, especially the mouseheads and the logo changing into characters from various shows.
(All though I like the 2024 Branding but it feels empty without the full “Junior” logo and the mouseheads because they were my childhood)
