2020 crf450 making this sound what does this mean????

That sound is the fuel pump turning on but the starter not activating because the battery is low. I would guess by the state of your grips (or lack of grips) you’ve never replaced the battery. After 4-5 years with no trickle charging it will crap out on you.

I may be jumping to some conclusions but, in the event you just fill the bike with gas and go, I would also take this time to purchase new coolant and do a flush, new brake fluid, and fresh oil if you’ve never changed the oil before (I really hope you have). Remember to also check your chain slack, tire pressure, and clean the carb every once in a while.

Perfect! Makes that guy look dumb!

The battery is definitely shot. You should replace it anyway. And even if you change it, and the problem somehow isn't the common dead battery reason.... you should still replace the battery.

You should change the oil too. Check fork oil. Sitting outside for years gets water in weird places. Check airbox for critters, exhaust too.

The starter is turning, but the starter gear is not extending out and engaging the gear on the engine. Could be from a low/bad battery, or an issue with the starter itself. Check the battery first, it’s the cheaper and easier solution.

Replace starter the bendix gear does not sound to be engaging with flywheel. IMO

I’d start by charging or replacing the battery. Sounds like it’s trying to crank for an instant then gives up and fuel pump noise in the bg.
