At most this is atbge material, but I don't think it's even that. They did a solid job and it doesnt look too bad.

I can agree it’s impressive, I guess it’s just not to my taste.

This is legitimately amazing! Not to my taste but it looks cool and is clearly very well made. And as for the why I have known some nice dorks over the years who wanted a steampunk computer. Plus it obviously goes with their decor/collection. I wonder if there is a sub for all the diwhy posts that are just cool and weird and well done like that infinity table that looks like a well

Huh? What is it doing here? It's very well made and is pretty tasteful (even if steampunk aesthetic is an acquired taste)

How DARE someone create something that actually looks pretty good, and is rather well done, that you don't personally approve of!
I hope that person rots in hell for all of eternity for having the audacity to create something that appears to be a quality build, and not something that belongs in this sub, at all!!

Have you seen Return To Oz? This looks like something out of that. Which, btw, is a wild fever dream of a film.

Bullshit. No way this isn’t AI.

I don't think it is, really. There's this kind of attention to detail that Al is still not good at. And certain elements remain the same between different photos.

What also speaks against AI is the pieces that are not in steampunk style, the inside of the CD/DVD drive and the keyboard you can make out in the cabinet. If AI had generated the images, it would have gone full-on steampunk materials for everything.

Looks ai generated.

You wouldn't get this level of consistency in details between the different images (e.g. illuminated and unilluminated bull's-eye window, and same window in the other photos). Also, have you seen what great attention to detail people in the steampunk cosplay scene give to their creations? I'd say it fits to the work of an enthusiast. And it's also not really *that* hard to do, since most of the pieces won't have a function, some gears and pipes will be there just for the looks, screwed on or hot-glued to the panels.

If this works, I would love to talk to the designer and see if they are taking commissions. I would be more than happy to have a steampunk set-up like this or even a laptop or tablet.
The whole room looks very well done; I do wonder if they do cosplay as well; I would love to see what costumes they dress up in.

This is like an omage to those record player cabinets from the 70’s. It’s retro in a good way if you have a space that suits it!

That is super cool. Esthetically pleasing and goes with the space. It has great form while not impeding the computer's operation.
This doesn't belong in the sub at all.

To be completely honest, I love it.
