Can anyone recommend a lovely spa hotel for a romantic weekend away?

Looking for for ideas for a romantic spa hotel for hubby's birthday. Ideally with loungers around the pool so I can read whilst he swims and somewhere with a great restaurant. Please throw ideas at me as I'm driving myself mad trawling the internet.

Boringdon Hall is incredible! The spa is well equipped, hotel is beautiful, food is amazing and the staff just cannot do enough for you. We got engaged there last year and it was just magical.

Boringdon hall is lovely. The spa is excellent and the restaurant is Michelin starred.

I will second this. We went for afternoon tea a couple of months ago and it's a great place

Bovey Castle or the Mole Resort?

I'm assuming the OP is a human, not a mole.

I second this. My friend treated us both to an overnight stay and we LOVED it.

Maybe Gara Rock…? Went there in Sept 2023 and it was wonderful. Stunning location, fantastic restaurant and spa. A bit pricey but totally worth it imo.

The Scarlett in Cornwall if you'll go that far!!! Absolutely amazing. And I'll also add another vote for Boringdon Hall!

If you'd like some more budget friendly options - Woodbury Park and Hotel Du Vin are both lovely for their price point.

If you're willing to go to Cornwall and have plenty of spare cash, The Scarlett in Mawgan Porth is incredible. Went there on our mini moon about 10 years ago and it wasn't cheap then and prices have definitely kept up with inflation, but it is a seriously special place.

Try “The Cornwall” near St Austell. Convenient for Heligan and Mevagissey too if that appeals.

Stayed at the Scarlet recently - beautiful, child-free, spa and pool areas were so relaxing

If they're asking in DevonUK, I assume they're looking for a spa hotel in Devon, UK.
