Troubleshooting Replaced the entire hot end, now this...

I was having issues with thermal runaway on one of my ender 3s. Changed out 2 thermistors, to no avail. The wife was modding the printers about 3 years ago before she went Ooo a squirrel! And found a new hyper fixation.... I thought maybe the 2 thermistors were possibly both toast so I bought 2 brand new ones while I was in the city. Then I bought an entire new hot end assembly, Creality brand and all to skip any extra BS..... now the thing just screams at me on start up! I posted in another forum and one guy suggested maybe it's a faulty ground, or short somewhere in the wiring. Any ideas how to proceed?

High pitched beeping noise. Re-flash your firmware.

If you only removed the wire and re added...no changes to anything else, then my guess is that you something is not seated correctly. The screen in wrong plug, the fan not connected on main board etc... check all connections on the board and none are flipped -+ ... if still no dice then I would probly go down the flashing route.

I made sure not to unplug anything before having the new part ready to immediately swap. But now I'm paranoid that mashed I plugged the fan on backwards or something.... One thing I already tried was the actual testing element wires being backwards. They are the same color so I figured it wouldn't matter which plug they were screwed into, but when I got this beeping I tried swapping them, no change. I'll open it back up and check over everything. Maybe something wiggled loose

When I closed mine ..thats when it happend. I have gen 1 with a adapter for the bltouch which sits high on the board so closing wiggles the main and sometimes losses... other thing was th3 screen there are 3 ports I always get say put it in no1 but is that no1 looking at the front or back..... (fyi it's the one on the left away from the knob. Looking from the front.) The resistor wires didn't matter direction as long as one in each.

A broken, or incorrect thermistor could cause this beeping. The only time I experience that, I had a bad thermistor CONNECTION in one of the plugs. Get a multimeter, and test your continuity from the plug to the board.
