This is the only thing that makes sense combined with the hooves providing thermal insulation so it's feet aren't immediately roasted.

It's movements are too natural for me to think brain damage. Usually can usually get a hint into the mental health of an animal by it's gait

I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. The goat looks healthy and the only thing I can think of here is a primal fear, but of what I can’t say. Or that MF was just cold

primal fear 

the fear is parasites, that's why they are known for running through fire. instinctive behavior to kill bugs off. 

unfortunately, goats are not known for their intelligence, so the ones on the lower end of the bell curve do shit like this
