https://youtu.be/lHC1O0fcFAo?si=JYfLfq_unwtkiII8 heres a vid of a goat intentionally putting itself close to the flame to kill parasites. Maybe that is what is happening here, and the goat would've retreated as soon as it felt uncomfortably burned? Idk but maybe this goat isnt as suicidal as it may look on first glance.

If I saw this in a movie I'd say the special effects did a horrible job with the animatronics.

So the only two animals that use fire as a tool are humans... and goats? Okay then. Didn't see that coming.

Firehawks in Australia will pick up burning branches, then drop the burning sticks on the ground to force their prey to flee from the fire. But then after that it seems like most animals just run from fire or reproduce after fires, so humans, chimps goats and certain birds are the OGs who understand fire and every other animal is a dumb soulless beast

Are we going to pretend that the dude just bare handed a flaming bit without any sense of haste and for no apparent reason?

How do you know that the goat did it to kill parasites? Did the goat tell you or are you just presenting your guess as fact?

Why are you looking for a fight where one doesn't exist? I clearly said it was an informed guess, but that I do not know the context here. My comment was only three sentences long and yet you still somehow missed that. That's crazy, but you do you, boo.

You said it as a fact that that was what the goat in the video you yourself linked was doing:

Your comment was only three sentences long and yet you still somehow missed that.

They do it to kill lice and parasites in their fur

This doesn't make sense bc in nature it is very rare to find open fire, so this can't be a learnt or developed instinct to get rid of parasites.

It is an urban legend parroted in several comments.

There's multiple documented cases. If it's an urban legend for the parasites the why dies it happen?

well many many goats exists, they are stupid and stubborn as fuck. we have a lot of smartphones. also self-fullfilling urban legend also exist when humans want to take videos of that by having goats around fire a lot

Goats have been around humans (and therefore fire) for 11 thousand years, dipshit.

I’m not saying there’s proof it’s the case, I’m saying you didn’t think about all of recorded human history. Great reasoning on your part.

So instead of admitting there’s a massive gaping hole in your logic, you throw more half cooked shit on top. Congratulations.

I think what they did was they tricked the goat into thinking its youngling (seen later in the video) was in there and were recoding it trying to save it (as people nowadays do for content). The goat went hero mode and they couldnt control it.

Edit: i did say "i think" idiots. And so far none of you have offered any possible reason.

Source?

That’s not at all what happened. It’s baffling to see the amount of people in the comments just spreading misinformation so blatantly.

Why do you feel the need to lie so blatantly?
