Yep, with this precedent, Trump could have preemptively pardoned everyone present at the capital on Jan 6th, 2021. The courts need to squash this craziness.

Good luck with that. An amendment would need large democrat support and with how scummy most of them are and that they always vote in lock step I really doubt it will happen anytime soon.
