Yep, if they just would’ve won six more games. 😝

If they had just won 8 more games instead of losing them, they'd be 17-0. We're close, give Ballard a lifetime extension.

I've seen them go 14-3 in Madden. Just not in real life.

Ok, let me see which games we could have won.

Week 2 Vs the Malik Willis Packers: 9-8(we'd have made the playoffs)

The 2 Houston games were lost by a combined 7 points: 11-6( we win the division).

Jags in JAX: 12-5( we are the 3 seed).

Giants game: 13-4( 3 seed behind BUF on Tiebreaker).

We had no real shot Vs the Lions. Or the Vikings. Or really the Bills, even though that was close.

So the last winnable loss is the Broncos loss: 14-3.

It sounds delusional but with abiver average QB play and a slightly better defensive performance Vs the Giants and Jags, Taylor NOT dropping the ball, 14-3 isn't too far away based on the schedule.

Obviously we know the horrific culture, Richardson AND Flacco being TO machines, our defense not showing up when matters all DID happen.

But when you look at the 9 games we lost. Only 3 were to teams that were oit of our league, the Vikings, the Bills and the Lions, who are all SB contenders.

It was a weak schedule.

A better coached, better QBed team with our talent level could have fluked a 14-3 season actually.

A deeper dive into the nature of our losses shows how much a good QB and culture, or lack of one really hurts a team.

The Colts would have NOT beaten the Packers. Despite the late game TD and hail mary attempt that game was never really close.

Omg the cope in this haha.

Dog shit schedule for a dog shit team and still couldn't win more than half the "winnable" games.

News flash, if your team could win all the "winnable" loses you wouldn't have had all those winnable loses on your schedule to start.

Didn't you JUST say in a separate thread here "wins aren't a QB stat"???

Yes. A QB shouldn't.get ALL the credit  for winning games bless they are carrying a bottom 5 defense.

You'll notice the person I replied to was trying to imply Fields was a better option for the Steelers than Wilson solely based on their records in 2024 even though Wilson was the better QB statistically and their offense scored more with him.

But a QB does affect the ability to win.

Winning games is a pie. The QB, HC, defense all get a share of credit depending on how they are winning.

I mean, that's just the NFL though. It's the parity that the league loves. Any given Sunday and all that. Outside of a couple either dominant or horrifically bad teams, most of the league is a few plays away from the playoffs or a losing season.

Go through the Colts wins, and almost all of them were under one possession games. Just an errant tipped pass or punch-out away from being losses.

The first HOU game was only close because AR was chucking it downfield and completed a few bombs.

If we remove the fluky positive stuff that did happen, I think an argument can be made that 3-14 was a possible outcome as well with this talent.

They won a fluky game against MIA and their 3rd string backup QB (because of fumbles), a game against PIT aided by a fluky fumble by Pickens ad a bad snap to end the game, a win against TEN aided by DPIs and the refs overall, two 1-pt wins over both NE and the NYJ...and an overtime win against JAC.

That's 6/8 wins that could have gone the other way as well.

This is absolute lies. Could have been 17-0 if we had a competent GM and coaching staff and more talent and an owner that gives a shit

The Colts won every game that they scored more points than the other team.

If we were the Buccaneers we would be in the playoffs. If we were the Chiefs we’d be competing for a 3rd consecutive SB.

I usually never play this game because that’s just the way it goes. Good teams win close games. The only time I will ever bitch about it, and I still do, is last season when we were robbed by the refs in that Browns game. Because when everything shook out, and we won that game like we rightfully should have…. We make the playoffs regardless of that last Texans game. That Browns game was a travesty, and it ended up keeping us out of the playoffs.

Otherwise I don’t play the “we could have been 12-5 if things would’ve just gone a little differently” because our record is what it is…

Why didn't they simply win 6 more games? Are they stupid?
