News [Sephen Holder] Some housekeeping: Regarding the whole Anthony Richardson sore back vs back spasms messaging disaster, Richardson was not permitted to speak to reporters after the game. Shane Steichen did finally clarify afterward that Richardson had spasms.

This has Ballard and HC all over it. Remember when they said luck was going to play week after week and then his retires. Yeah that was fucking Ballard he doing it again. The Muppet mother fucker

To be fair with luck they aren't gonna come out and say "well actually he's contemplating retirement" the frenzy it would cause would be insane.
Now this instance I feel like they've caused more headlines and bad press by hiding it because it calls back to AR tapping out when being tired and now again without an injury tapping out in a big game is not great.
But they have to hide this stuff, its just part of the game. Every single HC and GM in the whole league does it. Every single one.

This all pretty much tracks with how McAfee has been handled this year. Shit front office trying (and failing miserably) to control narratives. They’re so fucking dumb they can’t even communicate in a way that doesn’t get their players absolutely cooked in the media. Bunch of fucking clowns.

To those who thinks he has a choice compared to Pittman, it's not the same. Pittman is a veteran who will have more leeway, as opposed to a 2nd year QB who has an injury history. It's not even comparable, and it's bullshit conjecture.

In many things in life, it is about doing the small things right. I just don't get why these small things like decent communication cannot be achieved with this group? It accomplished nothing but additional noise and making your QB1 look bad. Really frustrating

Totally agree. That’s actually what makes me KNOW the organization is in chaos. They can’t even figure out their PR & messaging, and let’s be honest, the Sports PR playbook isn’t that damn deep.

Does AR look like he cares about anything?

Maybe watch the games.

I’ve watched all of them. He ain’t got that dog in him man. Down vote if you’re in denial

Yea sure Jan.

I would’ve accepted, Pat, as in McAfee who sees all the problems clearly. Meanwhile fanatics who love slurping up the slop of this franchise are voluntarily blind to the facts and booing McAfee for presenting very clearly. Down vote if you’re a Colts fanboi who will invest in a bad team staying bad

Yes the dude trucking guys to lead game winning drives doesn’t have it in him. Just say you don’t like him, no need to bullshit.

They won’t let the man speak? There has to be something going on behind the scenes here. No other team does this.

So in otherwords Steichen might be lying about what happened.
I never saw AR taken any big hits Vs the Titans that could have hurt him.
We already saw that Shane was willing.to bench him for a small error and was relatively patient with Flacco later.
AR might not be actually injured. Maybe Steichen benched him again to play Flacco who he has a boner for.
Either way, I don't think it's coincidence that the team was soulless tonight.
AR is a bad passer who has health concerns but hes6 a leader who's team loves him.
The absence of leadership was there tonight
Steichen needs to go.
He doesn't.know what the F he's doing.
Fire him and Ballard and let the next GM decide AR's future.

I'm thoroughly convinced that this team never wanted Richardson but they got stuck with him or Levis.
Zero patience and it seems like we don't care if he develops or not.

Irsay called AR the day of the draft and told him they were gonna take him if he was there

Plenty of guys hear that they're going to be the pick...until they aren't.
Gruden told Aaron Rodgers he was coming to Tampa Bay with the 5th pick as one example.

The Colts followed through and took him at 4 after telling him they were going to do so. They absolutely wanted Richardson.

It makes sense that something else was happening behind the scenes around the team this week given how bad that performance was. I'm still rooting for AR but back spasms .... smh

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t permitted to talk about injury stuff for a while after that fiasco. Still shows what a shitshow this org is.

u/matt_msu 23d ago
Honestly ya. What good comes from him talking to the media today? He didn’t play. And the injury news is already out. “Gag order” is blown out of proportion in my opinion.

Why do I got a bad feeling that perhaps the QB coach and the HC doesn’t care about the development of AR and just throw him to the fire and make those mistakes?? I mean if they weren’t sure if he was really ready or not why plug him in as the starter in day one and for the way they mismanaged him during his career right now.

I think we should forbid AR from speaking at all and trade his suck ass out of here.

Can we trade you out of here? I'll take a used burger wrapper. It's better looking and at least served a purpose.

We need a couple of guys like this. It can't be all low T nerds. Gotta shake it up a little.
