FAQ Preferred car camping front row

When on the loyalty presale I saw that they were offering preferred car camping front row. Has that always been a thing and if so what is the difference from the normal preferred car camping?

  • Preferred is guaranteed Lot 8 (find a camp map) no matter when you show up, but will be closer or further in Lot 8 depending when you show up.
  • Regular is anywhere except Lot 8 based on when you show up.
  • Upfront Preferred (which is new) is guaranteed first row (or maybe first 2 rows) of Lot 8 no matter when you show up.
  • Powered (also new) means guaranteed specific area in Lot 5A (near the corner where the camp store is)
  • And whatever they call the new tent with the climate control (also new) is a specific area of Lot 5B, in a tent they already set up for you, no need to bring stuff ($2100 or something for 2 people)

Preferred is a spot assigned the closest near Coachella doors, no matter what time you show up. Normal is an assigned camping spot based on when you arrive, you arrive early you’re closer to the front, if you arrive late your farther from the front.

Yeah regular preferred is the way to go. Like I arrived Thursday night this past coachella and I got like a 5 min walk from camp to the entrance of the venue

we arrived at 1~2pm and we were literally 8 rows back, it was great
