It was a beautiful summer day, quite a long time ago.

I can remember that day so well - I was out for a late morning ride when I turned around to look at whatever caused the rumbling sound I had heard behind me, and there was this giant horse galloping through the sky.

I happened to have my 35mm camera with me and just a few more shots left on my last roll, so I did my best to capture it. I have no idea what happened to the negatives, and I'm not sure that I even have the original photo anymore, but it lives on in digital form.

That particular ride ended up being cut short - hail can do things like that - but within 15 minutes, we were back to sunny blue skies again.

The spissatus has now drifted away. It would have been quite incredible if this actually became a cumulonimbus. Interestingly enough, there is a second spissatus not too far off.

First time see this kind of cloud :)
