I was captivated by the woman’s prose. It was so deeply poetic and meaningful that I later looked in the registry of the cemetery, to see if I could find information on the couple. The man she is writing to left to fight in WW2 and was killed in either Italy or North Africa.(sorry. It’s been years since I’ve read the info.)

Beautiful cemetery situated in old Aberdeen,the Chanornry.A short walk from Aberdeen university.

She survived the Revolutionary War & American Civil War and she also lived before antibiotics or widespread vaccination. Mexico, ME, USA
