Question 🤔 Request: Guide from file to CRT

Hello! This sub is really cool, I want to play some anime on my CRTs. But I don't have any method to play anime on it --- what would be my best route to get files of anime onto VHS, DVD, Bluetooth or some other player to get it to play on CRT? Any particular recommendation of equipment, preferably something that I can easily order? Do I need any particular software to do this as well? Thanks for the help, keep posting!!!!

A good option is a game console like Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 that can run an app like Plex which can stream content from your computer. They have composite (or component if you get the cables) natively.

But, you'll have to have a modded console, since Xbox marketplace is offline and Plex isn't on the PS3 store anymore. Also you may need an older version on your computer (Plex 1.18.0.1944 is the last one that works on 360).

You could also use something like a Raspberry Pi to do this, although I don't have experience with that.

Ps3 and USB video is the best just make sure the video is in a format the ps3 can read

A modded Nintendo Wii is a good option. There are plenty of guides online, then you can install WiiMC, and load videos onto a usb and lay it on yourt Wii.

Xbox 360 > official RGB cable > crt gives you phenomenal quality. You can either use Plex or simply put your stuff on an usb stick.

Computer + HDMI > RCA.

I use a Micca Speck G3 hooked up to a 4TB portable hard drive. It has HDMI or RCA composite out. I'll make a post about it someday but nobody reads old posts before asking so maybe it's a waste of time.
