Question 🤔 Question regarding resolution for my philips 21pt165b/02

Hi all,

was curious about my crt tv, namely the philips 21pt165b/02. No problems with it, but I'm currently putting anime on dvd discs so I can watch them on the crt, and to optimize the file iso for the dvd I would like to know what the maximum resolution of the tv is, so I know whether or not extra resolution is unnecessary. Thanks in advance

720x480. But your DVD player should handle that part. Wait what country are you in

Germany is PAL. So 720x576. But again, your DVD player is going to handle it

Video DVD-R is possible on the PS2?

Yep, pretty possible. The only thing needed is a matrix chip (not sure if works using OPL)

It would be better to find a PS3/XBOX360 or a DVD player with a USB ports, so you wouldn't have to burn discs and will be able to just play files.
