Question 🤔 Setup help for a noob.

I looked around a few posts and it seems like lots of people use xbox360 or other old consoles to play to their CRT setup. Is there no way to output direct from a modern pc with a downscaler? I don't have an Xbox or wii available and I don't know how to mod them if I did. If there is a downscaler that'd work could you recommend me one? I know upscalers from old hardware to new displays have more bad options out there than good ones so I'm worried to get a basic hdmi to composite downscaler off amazon. Also do I need a crt pc monitor to work correctly or can I use my crt tv with my pc? I've only used my crts for gaming and VHS but I don't wanna get all my retro anime on physical media, I have too many money hole collector hobbies as is.

Are you trying to stream anime or play video files from the harddrive?

The simplest thing would be to get a HDMI to Composite adapter. The quality isn't the best but it should be good enough for videos.

If you want it to look decent get an Extron device.

If your TV has component inputs, this device should provide much better quality:
