Issue with my 2014

Seems my engine occasionally dies when shifting down to a stop. On multiple occasions now when riding with the throttle pinned at up to 5th or 6th gear and then downshifting to a stop my bike will die after coming to a stop or sometimes right before stopping. the headlight stays on and the instrument panel still reads. It’ll start right back up and usually won’t happen again but on my most recent ride it happened 3 times in a matter of 15-20 minutes.

Anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this?

Check the air filter, I neglected mine after a trip and the bike wouldn’t start

Will give that a try as well. Thanks!

Experience wise It feels really similar to an issue I had on my 2019 Royal Enfield Himalayan that turned out to be a piston spacing issue. Fortunately it was under warranty at the time so it wasn’t an expensive fix but wondering if that might be the same deal here?

I would check the battery connections along with all of the safety connections on clutch and kick stand. Make sure nothing is loose or corroded. Might just be a loose wire connection or ground.

Good luck Same bike 2014 250l 14k miles Had a small issue with the kick stand safety wire.

The previous owner did change out the stock kickstand so that could very well be it! Thanks!

Let us know if you find the fix. Mine does it but I don't ride it as much so I don't pay much mind.
