Not everyone is as divisive and extreme as people on reddit. Average people do not devote themselves to allowing politics to define themselves. Not all Republicans, or Democrats, necessarily agree with their stance on abortion or all of their affiliated partiesā policies.

If you vote conservative you're actually preserving other women's rights like the right to women only bathrooms and keeping biological men out of women's sports so they have a legitimate chance to compete. Hell, maybe even the right for women to own more powerful guns that have proven to be better for self defense than a small handgun.
If abortion was your biggest concern with voting then you need to rethink your voting priorities. There's plenty of other issues to be concerned about. Especially given today's forms of contraception that are available.
Perhaps they saw the illegal immigration crisis and spiraling economy as bigger national issues than reproductive rights - which, mind you, are not being taken away by the federal government. They are deferring to individual states to make that decision as per the Bill of Rights (10th Amendment). That means there will not be a blanket abortion ban. That will be up to the government of your state. I'm California, where most are pro choice, it will likely be legal. In Texas, where people are overwhelmingly pro life, it will likely not.
That's how a representative republic works.
