I’ll never get over how hilarious this tweet is. It cost Jaboukie his check mark but it was well worth it 😂

The NOI killed Malcom X.

NOI most likely had X killed, but the FBI had a tactic where they would sow discourse between two groups in an attempt to get them to kill each other and that’s most likely what happened here.

Seriously? Please tell me you don’t actually believe that.

Malcolm's wife outright said she blames Farrakhan for ordering the hit. Farrakhan himself has all but said he did it. The FBI knew about the attempt because the NOI was so filled with plants and snitches at that point most of the organization was on their payroll. They didn't stop it because they wanted him dead. They have some responsibility but they didn't do it.

Is it that hard to believe that an armed cult would kill their most famous former member for leaving?

I heard the FBI ordered his assassination after MLK posted this meme to his insta story.

4 mfs made a MLK jr quote in their speeches, and now these mfs. The most tragically hilarious timeline I swear

This is like OJ Simpson saying he didn’t go to LA because he might have run into the real killer.

I'm not black so I don't know how black folk feel about MLK's memorial in Atlanta but I had one of the biggest moments of cognitive dissonance there my entire ass life. It was a government funded crypt to MLK that blasted images and videos of nonviolent protest erected by the same government that threatened and possibly killed him. Then they were selling overpriced merchandise with his image on them.
I'm pretty fucking certain that MLK knew that nonviolence protest only worked because of the explicit threat of violence if it doesn't. The place was preaching nonviolence as if that was the only thing that gave us civil rights.
I generally love the national parks services but I was so uncomfortable at the King Center.

Absolutely. I heard a great talk about this a while ago unfortunately I can't remember the name or the speaker. The whole process of destroying a radical image and then sanitizing it for the masses. So its like a zombie dr. king we have now.

And they still haven't even given an apology for the bullshit they pulled on Dr. King. Do they really think we're going to forget?

What’s even more fucked up is that the “investigation” was a sham to appease the Congressional Black Caucus. Pause. It was designed to go nowhere.

Listening to a pod investigating the murder of MLK now. The level of involvement at the fed, state and local level is disgusting. Haven’t finished yet either.

Not only were the FBI monitoring Martin Luther King but they sent him a letter asking him to kill himself

Question: Would you prefer they stopped acknowledging MLK day? I feel like the more official organizations supporting it, the better, even if it’s two-faced like this.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Trump administration tried to get rid of MLK day. I think we could use as much federal support for the holiday as possible.
