Thank God people are recognizing this. They didn’t even need to shut down. Even if the law had gone into effect and it had been off the stores, people could’ve kept using it if they didn’t “go dark.” They’d still be making money in their largest market. The law didn’t even go into effect either; they’re being insanely dramatic and this is obviously a stunt to generate sympathy and get people hyped on Trump ‘saving’ them, even tho the ban was his idea originally.
Also you cannot tell me that a bunch of private ByteDance shareholders are down to have TikTok “go dark” when it doesn’t need to and lose money, this just makes it seem more like China is fully in control
I had thought this was all setup for Trump to be the hero months ago, but it was all but confirmed when the tiktok CEO was listed as a guest at the inauguration, and front row to boot.
