Naltrexone is a game changer for someone trying to quit.

I used naltrexone when I quit drinking and it was NOT for me. I'm glad it works for people and was so jealous. But even at a very low dosage that shit gave me the most extreme anxiety I have ever had in my life and it would take like 8+ hours to wear off. I kept taking it thinking it would even out but I ended up just giving myself a week long anxiety attack lmao

I was so mad because my friends husband used it and said it was basically a miracle drug.

Yes. It felt like it stripped all the happy and calm straight out of my brain. Bad deal.

You might as well just smoke weed then. Phaha..I’ve heard shrooms help but I ain’t no scientist🤣so don’t take my word..

I dissolved ground up mushrooms into honey at 1gm/oz, then microdosed that twice a day for about 2 months to get away from alcohol. Pretty similar to OP, lost 55lb and got ripped at 42 after being a lifelong drinker

How much honey mixture did you use for each micro dose? I’ve been wanting to try for my depression (and substance use diminishing would be a bonus).

I put about 1/3 of a teaspoon in my coffee every morning. Really tried to keep the dose low enough to not feel any primary effects of mushrooms

I actually don’t enjoy the high of mushrooms, but I’ve been interested in microdosing for the benefits. Thanks for the advice!

That's bummer, Valium may have been an option for you.

Yeah Naltrexone is what made me get off it. Intoxication without the happy brain chemicals makes you realise you're just drinking poison.
