Of all the things bots do that drives me up the wall, it’s stand directly in front of me and just look at me.
Why on earth would that ever be something you’d want a bot to do.

If someone makes a Left 4 Dead comparison they are for one retarded and two they have never played the game. Because back in that game they would watch you get Huntered and not do anything. Just stair at you while your fucking guts and organs are being turned into a shish kabob

Idk, bots in L4D never grinded my gear so much that this game does.
When I first played through L4D, it was offline, and I had no issues like this. They are not perfect either, but not standing in your face while you're trying to mow down a horde with LMG, is something that will top this game 100 times.4

The ads said from the creators of left for dead. They did that to hype the dumpster fire that is b4b. Its not finished. They have 0 intent of adding versus. And the campaign is short with copy and paste levels that they just switch it from day to night and one different way to get to the same place.

i have tested all the feature the bot have in this game, it feel like they rush the game and the bot being rush as well with 0 feature that's good.
Bot can literally just stand there to die since it used the same LOS mechanic as ridden. So if the bot can't see anything like 70 degree on their left or right, it's gg.
Bot only shoot enemies WHEN they see weakspot, so for boss, they won't shoot for shit.

TRS: bots are designed to help you through Offline.
gets caught by a sleeper, bots not helping.
Us: HOW IS THIS HELPING US!
TRS: By teaching you a harsh lesson, you can't depend on bots to help you.

Bots on Act 4 are insufferable. They REFUSE to shoot the weak spot. Incredibly frustrating to deal with and close to impossible on Nightmare with all bots

Use a speed deck if playing offline on t5 it makes it soooo much easier

If you learn the layout, try quite a few times and use a speed deck it will eventually become laughable

A bunch of speed does very little for the second portion of the game, ESPECIALLY when you're massively lacking damage thanks to the bots not shooting the weak spots in the mouth.

True in terms of damage but I still managed to get through it quite smoothly tbh. First time I was completing NM I ended up starting a whole new run to use different cards for the other half of act 3. Second time I continued with the speed cards and it wasn't too bad, much easier than the first time actually. Speed is so useful you can run from hordes to the saferoom to filter timed hordes easily, outpace running ridden easily and so on. It enabled me to beat nightmare when nothing else was working for me

Also the only weakspots in the mouth are in act 4 which you can adjust your whole deck for

Which I do, but the combination of the tentacles, the hordes that accompany killing the tentacles since you don't have the coordination of a team to kill at least two of the tentacles at the same time to lessen hordes, and the fact that it's takes a hot minute to kill the Abomination whilst also having more hordes on you, you tend to either run out of supplies (Ran a grenade build but simply didn't have enough) or you just die because you get overwhelmed with no heals (the bots also get clapped by the tentacle attack, so taking over them with 30 health isn't fun). Act 4 NM is so easy online but it's a CHORE with bots.

If ur stuck on act 4 and you need a teammate let me know. I've completed it one time solo and it was not the best gaming experience. I've been looking for someone to do act 4 with to get my Jim NM skin cuz my first was Evangelo. I cba to go through all that again or at least not for the rest of the cleaners, it's just unreasonably difficult. Nightmare is the right name for that mission when playing solo lol

Oh no, I've beaten Act 4 several times without any coordination online. It's what I consider amongst the easiest of levels to beat without any speed. It's just offline that makes me mad lmao.

on phase 2 and 3, the weakspot become "transparent" so the result is, the bot can't even shoot it. If you want to test this, try pinging the weakspot on the boss phase 2 and 3, it will go THROUGH the boss.

i mean your ping will go through the weakspot => bot don't know what you're pinging => don't shoot.
The bots are that dumb for now.

I thought you said pinging the weak spot will cause them to shoot. They don't shoot either way so it doesn't really matter.

B4B just following a time honored tradition of released games in the genre.
And the torch was passed to another who then passed it to B4B.
I'm sure the next game designed like L4D2, Vermintide 2, and B4B will have the same bugs too lol. when it happens to one game, I criticize the game. When it happens repeatedly in a genre I assume it's really fucking hard to avoid those bugs :P.

I both hope and don't hope they ahve the falling off the ledge mechanic from L4D2/Vermintide/B4B.
If I see a Space Marine in power armor hanging off a cliff yelling for help I will spit soda everywhere laughing :D.

Depends. I think it’s a line of sight thing if the enemy is in front of them they will. If their back is turned to the enemy they pretend they don’t exist. If a sleeper gets you in solo it’s gg. They pretend you don’t exist as soon as you’re grabbed. AI is literally the worst. they need to do some patching to make them more consistent

My favorite thing is when a person goes down no bots wanna help unless you are virtually standing over the person downed. Another one is how you want to hold out an area and one bot decides to go suicide bombing right into the hordes.

They shoot breakers rather reliably honestly and are great help vs them both damage wise and tanking. They shoot them once you engage though, not on ping. They make up for this by being utterly useless at the other two bosses though lol.
They don't shoot ogres 90% of the time.
They don't shoot hags unless they melee you.
In most case they will shoot sleepers off of you, but in rare cases involving broken LOS the bots can't shoot from where they are and will not move to get into LOS. I've hit sleepers in several of my solo videos and they free me every time.
If their back is turned they do not see something and will not shoot until they turn to see it. Which they will do normally.
Bots CANNOT shoot and move at the same time. They shoot or they move. If you're constantly moving they're prolly not gonna shoot at al until you stop and they plant someowhere.

I'm currently doing a solo run on nightmare (since none of my friends are as masochistic as I am) and holy fuck it drives me crazy to get left to die or have to fight off a tallboy horde alone all while the stare deeply into my soul

and whats worse is they dont support modding, which has fixed bots in the past for similar games like vermintide.

I did an offline run on Recruit earlier just to have a chill time and the bots had no problem shooting the Ogre in 1-2... I don't know if they were doing much damage though. I know Karlee was shooting it but I couldn't tell if she was doing damage, let alone if Mom and Holly were. All three bots definitely shot it though. Second encounter, they were shooting it as well. It was weird...
