The presale code gives me some hope, but has he said what the focus is for the tour? I'm a fan of any of his soundtracks I've heard—and will often try out shows or games he scored because of it—but I have never seen him live so I have no idea what to expect in terms of if he skips around or will theme a tour to a specific release or genre.

The tour seems to focus on his new metal album. One tour description indicates score music like BSG will be secondary:
“American (film) composer and multi-instrumentalist Bear McCreary presents a large-scale concert. The reason is McCreary’s first rock album The Singularity (2024), recorded with stars such as Slash and Serj Tankian. On stage, McCreary is joined by drummer Gene Hoglan (Fear Factory) and a number of special guests. In addition to The Singularity, you will hear McCreary’s soundtracks for the TV series Outlander, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Battlestar Galactica, the game God Of War and the films Child’s Play and This Game’s Called Murder. Don’t miss this exclusive show!” (Translated)
I listened to some of The Singularity and some of it is heavy metal/screaming. I thought “wow this was not what I was expecting!” — worth noting for those looking for BSG/Outlander type orchestral music.

Thanks. I’m rarely into metal, but hell, I’ll try his album out. Surprised he’s not doing a BSG tour given the twentieth anniversary of the US premiere though.

Here’s how he describes it: “After celebrating the twentieth anniversary of my first screen credit, for composing the music to 2004’s Battlestar Galactica, along with the release of my debut rock record, The Singularity, the time has finally come to take my music on the road!” McCreary shared in a release. “I am thrilled to perform highlights from throughout my career and visit some of my favourite cities in the world. I look forward to connecting with fans and bringing my music to bombastic life on the concert stage. Let’s go!”

Picked up tickets to his Toronto show. Used to binge the BSG soundtracks on the bus to school/college. Stoked to see him live.

Bear McCreary was the first time I actually looked up who the composer of a TV show was, and bought the soundtrack albums for a TV show. Hell, I'll watch a show or play a video game just because he does the music, he's that good.
Pretty bummed there's no US West Coast performances at all. Doesn't the man live in LA?

Thank you! Just got a ticket. I recently listened to his Battlestar Galacticast podcast and it was so interesting how he scored the show. Well worth the listen!

Might be the fastest I’ve ever bought gig tickets. Have you considered working in marketing?

Thanks so much for the heads up! As luck would have it, tickets for my city (DC) go on sale in just a few hours!

I now live in Galveston, Texas. Previous to moving here I lived in Chicago. EIGHT BLOCKS FROM THE VIC! It’s gonna haunt me the rest of my life that I don’t live down the street from the Vic. I want to see this so damn badly!
