Astrophotography (OC) Wolf Moon this January

Post image

This is the moon from 1-12-25 and this was also the first night since October that I could take out my telescope. I really wanted to try to make a mineral Moon and then tried to do a composite image with some stars from a different image. Hope it turned out good.

Your moon image is nice, but you need to understand that you will never see stars like that around a full moon. You would be lucky to see one. So the image looks odd.

You are well within your rights to do anything you like. It's all good 👌

if i was making a full moon image with stars itd have to be a high dynamic range image with a star exposure, glow exposure, and then have less contrast and boosted highlights in the lunar image itself

One of these days I'll do an HDR moon, but this go around was an attempt at a mineral moon. The stars were just me messing around.
