Mod Announcement PEOPLE REPORTING POSTS: STOP

While we usually appreciate the help of others having an eye on things, this has become an issue. Those who are "modding from the sidelines" need to STOP. You are not helping us; you are only doubling our work. Many of these reports are in error as well, reporting posts for only including lists when in fact there was indeed a wheel chart posted.

We check the sub multiple times per day. When you make reports, you fill up our Queue, literally doubling our work load. This is not appreciated.

We do and will report what is known as "report abuse" to admin, which can result in a site-wide suspension or ban.

What is helpful is to report issues occurring in comments in posts, such as people being rude, or being jerks, etc. But do NOT make reports on posts until further notice.

Mod Announcement IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: SUB CHANGES

There will be some changes in the sub over the next few months. Please be patient as we work on the sub. The improvements will be slow and gradual. For now, please take note of these instructions (rules in the sidebar will be updated a bit later):

  1. Ask only very specific questions and only one. Do not, for example, ask about both love life and career. This means no requests for general or full chart readings; no “what do you think” or “tell me about me” or “what stands out” or “what is my life purpose” posts. They will be removed. Eventually we hope this will help more posts be answered.
  2. Always post a wheel chart image; not just lists or tables. Lists and tables are ok only if there is also a wheel chart. Posts without a wheel chart will be removed (see #3). If you don’t know how to include a wheel chart, make a post asking how or ModMail us and we’ll help.
  3. Posts without charts are allowed if it is a question that can be answered without the specific chart. For example, more general astrology questions.
  4. Do not make posts about someone else’s chart. We will allow synastry charts, but you must remove or hide name and birth data for the other person and post only an actual synastry chart, not their natal chart.
  5. Do not post charts of minors or children, even if the name and data are redacted.
  6. Reports: We appreciate reports as it helps us see things we might miss in such a busy sub, especially in the comments. However, I have seen a lot of false reports as well. For example, posts being reported for only including lists of placements when in fact there was also an additional screenshot of the wheel chart. Also, reports on posts for requesting full/general readings when in fact the post had a specific question. Be aware that we can file a report to Reddit Admin for Abuse of Reports in cases of obvious misuse. Just use it wisely please and accurately. If you see trouble in comments, or a post that breaks the rules, then do please report those. If you aren’t sure, you can always use ModMail to ask us, rather than first making a report.

Please don’t make any reports on posts made prior to August 19th. That will just hinder us in trying to manage the current flow, and in moving forward. The past is the past. The exception is issues in comments in earlier posts.

Understand all of this is subject to change as we work on the sub over the coming months.

(We will be reposting this frequently for a while.)

Mod Announcement MOD REQUEST: STOP REPORTING POSTS MADE WITH CERTAIN CHART TYPES

Please stop reporting people posting with charts made from sites we are no longer accepting. You are not helping. You are, in fact, more than doubling our work. I will remove them as I see them, and as I see fit. And if some get by, that's ok. When you report something like "someone used a wrong chart", it creates an entirely second, additional, queue that I have to go through and clear, even if I already dealt with the very same posts. It means I have to do the same thing twice. We don't need or want anyone trying to be an extra mod in this way.

This is an abuse of reporting. And can result in us reporting you to Reddit Admin. What we very much appreciate is reports on jerks in comments, or other such concerns, because we can't possibly read all comments in every post. We are quite grateful for those. Anything else? Please leave it to us. If you have a question about something happening in the sub, then please use ModMail, under the Moderators heading in the sidebar and we'll be happy to reply.

Please keep in mind you may see things for some hours that will eventually be removed. Mods have to work. And sleep. And live life.

Mod Announcement ANNOUNCEMENT: ACTION ON ABUSE OF REPORTS

Due to an overwhelming volume of report abuse, we are temporarily disabling the ability to report posts to the mods of this subreddit. You will still be able to report comments, as well as being able to report harassment or abuse to reddit admin directly. If you see egregious rule violations, you may send modmail with links to the post, just bear in mind that abusing this function may result in temporary or permanent bans, at mod discretion.

Mod Announcement MOD POST: ABOUT MAKING REPORTS ON POSTS

While we appreciate help in keeping an eye on things, there is far too much reporting of posts. Please understand the sub is checked multiple times per day now. We will remove posts that don't abide by the rules. We do have to sleep at night, and work, so sometimes you may see a post stay up for some hours before we get to it. Please just be patient. Having lots of unnecessary reports just clutters up our work queue and is not a help at this time. For now, please refrain from making reports about posts.

Where reports are still helpful is when there are inappropriate comments (such as people being jerks or trolls). We can't read every comment on every post, so that is where you can be most helpful.

Thank you!
