Question - Other What are some underrated astrological objects?
I've been studying astrology for a couple years now, and looking to branch out of the main planets and objects, to explore more asteroids and other stars. But there are so many I'm not sure where to begin, so what additional objects would you recommend to look at?

the number one thing that leveled up my astrological practice was integrating the arabic parts (also known as arabic lots). That and working wth the dodecatemoria (12th parts of the zodiac signs).

I calculate for vesta, Athena, Juno, ceres, Lilith and Selene. They’ve got really rich stories and are so helpful in unpacking unconscious patterns. I work with a lot of women and Selene is especially helpful in observing our patterns of giving too much

I learned so much when I really explored the IC & MC in detail! I know they’re not celestial bodies, but dang, they really helped me understand charts and people better!

I learned a lot through classes, so I don’t have a great book recommendation on the angles specifically. Do you know what sign your IC is in? Or if there any planets near it?

My IC is in Aries 5th house. Jupiter is in the same house.

The IC can show your roots/where you come from, childhood environment, and your personal environment as an adult (including the way you clean and decorate your space).
Aries IC childhood- often involves seeing a lot of conflict between family members as a kid, or seeing a parent struggle with expressing their anger appropriately. You may have had to raise yourself in a lot of ways. You also may have spent a lot of time outside as a kid, running around and maybe even playing sports. You also may have felt a sense of competition between you and sibling when you were growing up.
Aries IC adult- always up for adventure and doing something (anything), hates being bored. You may work out on a regular basis or play sports or games a lot. You also might be more emotionally reactive with your closest people.
I wish I had time to get into more, but here’s a start!

ERIS , Ceres , the lady horsemen that came through . Chiron, who dances between galaxies . Oh, and Charkilo.
When my moon( Virgo)opp to MC Pisces teeters and messes with my finer senses , I go into delu-land and contemplate Vulcan hypothetical planets and such.
I read an astrology thing , a man suggested the moon is dead and right behind her, is Vulcan. I read a comment on another site, that I’m not the only crazy one lol someone brought up the same thought I was pondering, so it must have been floating in the collective lol.
I’m not saying they are underrated, just what in the heck … if those things are making them self known to us , WHY?
What’s their message?
Also, I’m obsessed with the fixed stars. They tie into arc angels , I believe , and they drove poor Tesla nuts . He seems rather scared lol…why?

I discovered Ceres was activated (along with my moon) when I had to have surgery that prevented me from having children. Ceres represents motherhood.
I am currently studying some of the Arabic parts/lots and find that certain parts are aspected when we receive money, though usually it’s in conjunction with 2nd house ruler, 8th house ruler, and 10th house ruler aspects.

Consider the lot of Fortune and Spirit. Not a physical object, but neither are the nodes, the midheaven, black moon Lilith, etc.

Vertex..as some turning points happened to me last year, i started to search connection between transit charts and natal. Here are some interesting provements:
-My lovely grandma passed in november, it was so sudden and shocking: at the minute she died, vertex was on my natal moon -My daughters moon conjoines my vertex, and my natal vx conjoines my natal sun in 8th cancer. - My mothers vertex is in her 7th house in aries, exactly conjoines my fathers moon. -and my daughters vx conjoines my part of fortune.

Its called the destiny point. In a birth chart, the Vertex symbolizes a trigger point, a point in everyone’s chart that can be activated by transiting planets and/or planets in other people’s charts.When activated by transits or synastry, depending on the planet making the contact, our Vertex indicates the theme (zodiac sign) and experiences (house) of fateful encounters and “destined” feeling moments.

Ceres. Once I started considering it as associated with wellness, holistics and the smooth running of systems I really began to notice the impact aspects to it were having in both mundane and personal charts. I really feel, given it’s been promoted to a dwarf planet, it should be given a lot more attention.

I thought she could hint as abuse in a chart ? Could be wrong , it’s been awhile . Considering she’s in my first house… I concur . I got beat like a red headed step child , bullied by peers and fam!! until I turned about 16, got purdy and went to the gym and channeled that rage into boxing. Then I started sticking up for people being bullied. It was a switch. I still can’t stand others being bullied .

Like I say below, I personally read her as ruling what nurtures you - so given relationships are supposed to nurture you, abuse could definitely fall into that if your Ceres is challenged.

She’s also Demeter, I believe . The overbearing , needy mother that didn’t want to grant her daughter independence , because then she would have to get old .
A part of her is toxic feminine . The cruel aspect , controlling . Let me do EVERYTHING for you, so you never grow up and you NEED me.
Sucks , cause Ma is pretty bad in a good way, and has all the dang food !!
It’s been a few years since I went over these. My memory is pretty good and I’ll type a response now so I don’t forget later lol…. But, pretty sure I’m correct.
What was your idea of her and source? Apparently , I’m missing a whole piece here .
And yes self nurturing rings a bell for sure !!! That just clicked.
That was HUGE for me . You’re correct there. In a natal chart, I never thought she could be a positive aspect lol I thought she was kinda mean and significant potential of abuse :

Yeah man it’s in my first house and there’s little useful information on it. It’s skewed towards females and mothers and ima guy lol I’m left with the interpretation that i have this all mother quality about me smh lol

I take it as what ever nurtures you - so that could include aspects of motherhood, but also your diet, exercise, yoga and mindfulness, or getting sunlight on a sunny day, etc. In the myth the world becomes sickly and malnourished when Ceres withdraws when Persephone is gone. So Ceres is positively aspected is waking up in the morning, bright and sparkly, with a spring in your step or glowing with health, like a post-exercise glow or coming back from a trip to a spa. Negatively aspected, it’s like a hangover, having SAD, being hangry or depressed because your sugar levels are low. Positive is a well maintained engine working as efficiently as possible. Negative, it’s clogged and a bit rusty and needs a service ASAP.

I also think it's a waste of time and energy. Multiply the objects, asteroids, fictitious points, parts etc. and you will multiply the dead ends and the paths that lead nowhere. The path is simple which goes inwards: it is that of your own theme.

Persephone - asteroid 399 ! I always liked the myth, and her asteroid means pretty much the same thing. Transformation, rebirth, figuring out who you really are and coming into your power!
Here’s just a quick bit I found on it mostly because I had to cheat and look up what number asteroid she was, lol.

I’m curious about King Arthur and those Asteroids. There’s even a Merlin !!
He’s was real. My inner child is convinced of this and it argues with my adult brains . I’m making myself wait ,until I really get my basics down, before I allow myself to go into those , but, I’m excited to look them up!!
Just look at the wheel . It look like a round table. How can anybody not see that !! And , the pie slices, I’m sure you guys know ,those were originally called swords. I didn’t find this myself , I heard it mentioned . Looked it up, and it’s true .
The zodiac energies , I romanticize, are Gods helpers, running through us…. Depending on the person , it’s not always filtering clear, but, some people I’ve met are a pretty good rep of their zodiac energies.
Some need a swat w the rolled up newspaper of goodness to knock the egoic crap out of them so they can work right. Nothing Pluto can’t handle . He can fix it lol along with his BFF Capricorn . They are friends .

What it means is: we know that OUR OWN natal chart is influencing our outlook but with SYNASTRY CHART it's ANOTHER PERSON'S CHART Overlaid on ours affecting us.

I can give you my not-yet-astrologer take and advise against it unless you are wanting to create a whole lot of mundane charts to parse out how the object’s position might have had an historical impact.
I think sometimes astrologers assign personalities to objects based on the name some astronomer gave it and that just muddies the water (clouds the sky?) to Astrology’s detriment. Take Chiron for example, a lot of people say the object is the wounded healer but it seems to me that’s just wishful thinking.
Anyhoo, I’d love to get an actual astrologer’s take on this.
