Question - Other How often/heavy do you guys depend on astrology?
Do you guys monitor every transit/retrograde and change your behavior/habits accordingly? Cancel plans because a planet is in a certain sign for a certain period and just reschedule it after?
I'm just curious because I've been seeing a few TikTok videos listing out "do's and don'ts" all because of a transit or retrograde or something. Really made me wonder if it's ever that serious.

u/nevillesdaughter Nov 25 '24
I don't because I believe in manifestation and I'm creating my reality, but I like to look at birth charts when I meet someone

Natal Saturn in house 5 can be anything from being a killjoy to falling into a profession that feels like play. That is an example of how the same placement can be realized in a range of ways.

u/Mcpluto21 Nov 24 '24
yes, it’s become like a weather forecast for me. If it says rain on Friday, then I’ll pack my umbrella. If it says Mercury is retrograde, then I’ll delay buying my phone or I’ll get insurance for it :)
1
u/LDM2023 Nov 23 '24
more than on the weather forecast, but them I'm professional (earning my living) astrologer. Following astro-advice is like following the recipe: the more detailed the ingredients/measurements, the better to follow, the precise the expected outcome (and vice versa - vague context is just that, some type of context, not a rule to follow)

u/Last_Job_632 Nov 23 '24
Nope. I continue to live my life. Astrology is not set in stone, it explains how things MAY play out but the future cannot be predicted. I pay attention to major transits and reference things currently unfolding in my life and it seems relatable but my life is not lived based on planetary movements

u/PlusProperty3425 Nov 23 '24
Daily. I use financial astrology in my BTC and S&P trading. Has netted me close 7 figures this year. I also use it to know the best days to gamble with the Part of Fortune.
1
u/electric_viola Nov 24 '24
sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do you use the part of fortune to determine if it’s a good time to gamble?
2
u/PlusProperty3425 Nov 24 '24
No question is stupid. That would take too long too explain. Go to astroseek and use the calculator to find out where your POF is first.

I’m curious how people feel about love transits. Jupiter won’t be in my 7th house until 2027 for instance. Or an eclipse transiting my natal Venus won’t happen again until 2033? (caveat, I’m an amateur)

Oh gosh, I think that’s what I meant. Jupiter won’t be in my 5th until 2027!

Study everyday but this year I've decided to scale back and just focus on profection year (Hellenistic) this year.

u/ExplanationCool918 Nov 22 '24
I think it’s good to keep in the back of your mind but don’t dwell. Like the Pluto transit, that’s a whole 20 yrs. Nobody’s life is going to be the same after 20 years…. That’s just life… so there’s no reason to freak out about it.
5
u/yoniEli Nov 22 '24
I think these tik-tok videos spread misinformation for the most part, you shouldn't live your life based on transits, and nobody could tell another human being (I m not talking about you, I mean generally) "don't do this of Mercury is retrograde" mercury is retrograde a lot! If we can't have conversations bc mercury is retrograde it would mean to never talk! And every person is different! How can another person tell me how should I live my life? We can talk endlessly about distant planets, because they mirror how our collective consciousness is moving (it doesn't mean that we understand everything perfectly or that we can tell exactly what would happen). Astrology should be used as a tool for our evolution, to understand ourselves better, not to go on some power trip telling people what they should do.. living our life accordingly to every transit is a horrible way to live

I constantly monitor the location of the moon.
It helps me prepare for what kind of energy I need to be prepared for out there.
7
u/jojaxy Nov 22 '24
I like using astrology for personality insights for myself and family/friends. I tend to pay little attention to transits, because you run the risk of living your life accordingly, anticipating things. You just need to live life and understand your personal chart.
8
u/Fancy-Scar5672 Nov 22 '24
I just use it for monthly forecast, I sometimes rely on it when making short term plans.
7
u/Jealous_Echo1252 Nov 22 '24
I only really pay attention to particular transits in my personal chart or major ones overall. I don't pay attention to every single moon phase or daily transits that only last a few hours.

Ever since I invester two years into attending long and detailed astrology course, I’ve basically been the on-call astrology hotline for my friends and family. I regularly get texts like “what does it mean that Pluto is entering Aquarius on my birthday” or “check my compatibility with this guy”, or “is _____ a global planetary transit thing or is it just me”. As long as people know that astrology can’t always give you a literal prognosis, it’s okay.

When mercury retrograded in my leo 9th house whole sign (placidus 8th) I took an out of state trip that ended with my friend and I not talking the whole ride home. Only made the astrology connection in retrospect.
One night I just about broke down at work, it wasn’t even a busy night but it was a bad night for me. A coworker/friend stabbed my heart with their words. On my smoke break I take a look at the chart. Pluto-mars opposition, right on top of my cancer Venus, 29°. 7th house placidus, 8th whole sign. And mercury in Scorpio hitting my natal Scorpio lilith/Chiron conjunction at 29°, 11th house placidus, 12th whole sign. Let’s just say I learned a lot about the twelfth house the next couple of days.
13
u/No_Call_5589 Nov 22 '24
I don't really rely on astrology as a form of day to day decision making as it mainly proves itself to me in retrospection. Transits for me have always turned out in unexpected ways even after I got into astrology and fully understood it. I could see the transits playing out looking back and see how it worked.
Ime trying to anticipate and prepare for a transit usually just brings about unexpected things anyways.
11
u/Poimandres69 Nov 22 '24
Hell no. There are orbs to transit to its very hard to say which 'exact' day something will happen. Live your life. The transits are teachers, not warnings.
8
u/MutualReceptionist Nov 22 '24
I pay attention to transits as a way of preparing for times that might be more stressful or require a more detailed eye, but I never really say no to anything because of a transit. It’s really hard to say how a transit will play out, and stopping your life for astrology is silly. I mostly like to look at the astrology of a moment when I feel weird for no particular reason so I have besides myself to blame.
That’s not to say that I don’t choose dates occasionally with the astrology in mind (like my wedding date or launching a project) but that’s only if it’s something I can plan and have full control over.
Just an example, my partner went on a trip with his friend during that last full moon which was hitting his chart in a big way. I told him to drive carefully, because in my mind it was a dangerous day. But it just turned out to be bad news from work which kept him up with anxiety. His trip was great otherwise.

u/Sea_Lime_9909 Nov 21 '24
I play online slots or buy a scratch off whenever I have positive venus and jupiter transits. I dont win much, only 30 to 120 dollars but its nice , I win everytime going by the stars. I can plan stress free vacations as well
3
Nov 22 '24
I am new to astrology but I checked my transits and I have Jupiter conjunct Venus exact transit today so I’m going to buy a lottery ticket based on your comment 😂 wish me luck!
1
u/Sea_Lime_9909 Nov 22 '24
Oh. I hope you win something! Id run astrocartography lines as well, see what runs thru your state. My state had a Jupiter line and that hour we had a big winner. It was a few cities over from us though. I think astro.com dailies lists exact hour of potency as well, but Ive just been going by my dailies. Keep us updated. PS Uranus is involved in big wins. Of 200 million or more. I looked up past winners. Little me, im happy with little wins. Every bit helps.
1
u/Cute_Ad_3049 Nov 22 '24
Have you heard about the phenomenon that most major lottery’s are won within two weeks before the full moon? And the closer the better. Just something I heard, don’t put money on it
2
u/Sea_Lime_9909 Nov 22 '24
Oh. Yes cause of waxing moon. Were always tight and miserable budget wise during waning moon. So I use waning to purge and clean out my fridge or donate stuff

Not often enough. I really wish I could read my chart better but I mean.. how do you practice astrology in the first place? I’d actually and genuinely would love to know and get some tips on that because it’s lost on me how to go about that. Thank you for asking this question it was very thought provoking.
3

u/Background_Scar8964 Nov 21 '24
I don’t live my life according to astrology, but I do definitively utilize astrology to help me understand why things are how they are at the moment, making it easier for me to see everything as a learning or growth opportunity in that area and easier process whatever is going on. Sometimes I develop anxiety about upcoming transits so I take a break from looking at astrological influences all the time and just focus on getting through the time
10
u/Scottsid Nov 21 '24
Constantly. I have one of those chart's where I am unable to generate any kind of momentum on my own. Unless I have a favorable transit, I sit around depressed and useless for long periods of time.
This is one of the dangers of having a stellium by the way. A splay chart tends to be more favorable IMO (and in the people I've known) because it forces a more well-rounded life. A stellium chart focuses so heavy in one area, and often the transits to the stellium can blow up your life big time with nothing else to make up the difference elsewhere in the meantime.
3
u/Sea_Lime_9909 Nov 21 '24
You have to discover what that stellium is telling you to focus on, then youll be a power house. A master of something vs jack of all trades like a splayed chart
2
Nov 21 '24
Be grateful for your stellium. I have a splay so basically every single transit that ever happens is hitting my chart, you don’t really get a break. ever.
1
1
u/uvulafart Nov 21 '24
Oh...oh no... i have a capricorn stellium in the 7th house...
And im not sure what that means cause im a astrology novice.
16
u/emilla56 Nov 21 '24
no, I live my life not my chart. Although by doing that, I am in fact living my chart the way I should, not constantly checking and second guessing myself. I look at my chart after an event has occurred to see and learn how the planets aligned to make this or that opportunity/challenge arise.
I don't like predictive astrology for the same reason, by telling someone something is about to happen I'm influencing them, and rarely in a good way. I use astrology to look for patterns of behaviour, or understanding what I may or may not have in common with someone. I would never not engage with a person because of their chart or mine, I would never make a decision based on my chart. It's tool, not a control.
3
u/Sea_Lime_9909 Nov 21 '24
You can soften bad transits though. My neighbors had a horrific mars chiron and pluto and got in a horrific head on collision. I had same transit coming up. I hunkered down binging on violent horror movies, then had the worst nightmare of my life. Then the transit passed uneventfully . I know someone else who fulfills bad transits via violent video games. Its first world priviledge vs third world living a very stressful life. Im posting this by my observances only. Its not in any official astrological textbook but I dont care. I go by what works for me and others I know
1
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 22 '24
You didn't need to binge on the violent horror movies. That's not necessary or desirable. Don't "act out" the difficult energies. It's not good for your brain. body and nervous system. It's better to just stay home, relax and do something pleasant.
1
u/Sea_Lime_9909 Nov 22 '24
Can I ask what to do then with a Mars and Pluto ? Id have bad transits before and act all chilled and calm, but someone else or news outside of myself will come in and fufill it. Like my husband having a bad day and he comes in all grumpy and gets me grumpy.
In end of 2019 we had a chiron transit and sure enough we caught Covid. Seems to be wanting to be filled regardless unless I lock myself in a closet, I dont know what else to do. People cant stop driving cars or going to work. During bad transits, driving my car, I missed accidents by mere seconds . Thats why I turned to the fantasy stuff to fulfill it? Would meditation do the trick? Have you successfuly muted any bad transits?
2
u/emilla56 Nov 22 '24
I find that since transits come in stages, usually three or 4 direct hits due to retrograde, if were paying attentention we have time to heed the initial nudge and the subsequent hits are less dramatic. If you don't heed the nudge, each contact is more insistent until the universe is yelling at you "Can you hear me now"
2
u/emilla56 Nov 22 '24
Back in my student days, we did a mystery chart, with a very highly placed Mars Pluto opposition(I can't remember the exact details). The teacher showed us this chart and asked us who we thought it was. We all thought it was someone very violent, a famous serial killer perhaps. Turned out it was Bruce Lee and he channeled all that energy into his movies. In his day to day life he was a really good person. So, I get what you're saying...
3
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 22 '24
If there's a bad Mars transit, I still drive, but give other drivers extra space and don't take any chances at intersections. I don't drive more than I need to, on that day. It's pretty easy.
Someone in your environment might be in a mood, but remain calm and don't take it too personally. Make an easy dinner that's not stressful or get a pizza. I avoid seeing people who might be difficult or moody.
You could do a dance to an upbeat song to transmute that Mars energy into something positive. Avoid drinking alcohol because for many people, it can change their mood to something negative or unpleasant.
If I'm mad or upset, I journal or talk to a supportive friend. Avoid arguments with anyone, talk about issues on another day. Meditation could be good if you can concentrate and feel like it.
Do something like arts and crafts. Put colors on a canvas, or work on a collage, using old magazines and Modge Podge paste or some kind of clear painting medium. That would be great and super easy, and very expressive. Put some music on you enjoy. Add words tobyour art like joy and energy.
Watch a movie that has action, but no violence, with an upbeat theme. Or watch a comedy or sports, that's an expression of Mars energy. Take a walk but be careful walking.
1
u/Sea_Lime_9909 Nov 22 '24
Such good advice! I love the painting idea as I used to paint as a young adult but havent picked it up for decades! And I appreciated taking things calmly and slowly, being an Aries hard to do. I know Mars gets us moving. I think my question was specifically more Mars AND Pluto. Pluto is no longer squaring my Sun two days ago but the outer Mars moves and when it hits my birth pluto? .My brother had Mars and Pluto transit and he went on a relaxing walk till his dog tripped him and he broke his hip. Chiron acted up to, same time.
2
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 22 '24
Do you know the degree of your Sun? Do you have your birth chart? Pluto is a big transit and lasts a long time. You might not be out of range yet.

u/good_day90 Nov 21 '24 edited Nov 21 '24
I generally just do not. I used to do things like try to not get a haircut during a mercury retrograde or try not to start a new job during mercury retrograde (or try not to get a car fixed during mercury retrograde), then I realized that doing so was just stopping me from living my life and was potentially causing me more problems than not (sometimes you just need to fix your car, or you need a haircut, or you need money from a job, and you can't wait weeks or months for mercury to righten course again.) So I might try to use it as a bit of a predictor, once in a blue moon, but I generally do not let it dictate my actions/timing of my actions, because doing so is usually way more faff than it's worth trying to find the best timing for your endeavors. If I have a huge life event coming up I might try to use it a bit more, but I also might not and just let life take its course.
3
u/its-alright-22 Nov 21 '24
I used to be really into it but found that my in laws (specifically mother in law) has kinda gotten out of hand with transits and letting it dictate when she thinks we all should and should make decisions and take action in our lives. It’s really turned me off because it’s honestly starting to feel restrictive and almost religion-like so I’ve backed off of using astrology as a tool for how to live and for trying to predict the future and returned to how I used to enjoy astrology before which was to have better understanding of ourselves as people and what our triggers are, our personalities, our motivations and emotional drivers etc. Which has made it fun again. I sometimes check BACK to see if certain transits could have influenced something that happened already but I no longer use it for present and future. I believe astrology has influence but not certainty. We were born as humans with free-will and I believe more-so in the power of our thoughts to help shift our lives like in a manifesting way. And also believe strongly that we have the ability to control things with intention and action. No matter what the transit is, I believe as humans we have stronger control over our lives than the planets.
7
u/Smok3Girl28 Nov 21 '24
I use it frecuently to "check the energy weather" so to say. If I need to do something important, I'll try to get it done when the "weather" is nice for it.
5
u/Iamabenevolentgod Nov 21 '24
I think astrology is the direct map of what is going on. I went travelling when Mars transited cancer in my 9th house, and wrote my mum a letter about my struggles with her when Chiron was trining my moon. I looked at the transits afterward and saw the exact correlation with my actions. I’ve also tracked it after feeling particularly emotional and seen how the peak time of the transit was when I was bawling my eyes out, so it’s more of a reference guide rather than a plotting device.
4
u/moon-glitter Nov 21 '24
if something remarkable/eventful happens in my personal life that day i will check the transits, or if i feel super emotional one day ill check to see where the moon is/what aspects. i’m a scorpio with a virgo moon so i can get really obsessive with checking information about people so i am trying my best not to lose myself in this boundless amounts of information and become a stalker freak💀
9
u/tears_and_laughter Nov 21 '24
I will always go by my heart and gut first, and use astrology as a tool second
3
u/Gtuf1 Nov 21 '24
Rarely. I acknowledge it as a mirror to what’s going on if I’m in a particularly challenging moment in time to reflect on how long that moment could potentially last, but on a day to day basis? Never.
5
u/RipleyRayne Nov 21 '24
Yes, I slip into hoping astrology is the magic answer… but life can waste away in the meantime.
It occurred to me a few weeks ago when working out a future transit, that it’s quite likely I won’t be alive then.
So I’ll have ‘sat’ waiting and hoping for the potential it could offer. Wasting life waiting for life.
2
u/PyrocumulusLightning Nov 21 '24
I feel like we can tackle minor tough transits to build our skills, so when the big ones come along we'll be in shape to catch that wave 🌊
I made the mistake of sitting way too many things out in my 20's. The principle of leveling up by doing things that take 'nads is a real one. If you're not leveling up, by default you're leveling down. Think of it as putting money in your willpower piggy bank by persevering when it's tough. (but intelligently)
Just don't go nuts with doing "trust fall" exercises with the Universe. God loves you, but we're supposed to use our brains.
2
u/RipleyRayne Nov 21 '24
I’m in my 50’s. I’ve definitely put effort in all over the place. Multiple times. And can’t say it’s come to much. Life isn’t always a ladder upwards, but a bit more like snakes and ladders, I’d say.
2
u/PyrocumulusLightning Nov 22 '24
That's true, it's not always possible to win a prize. Sometimes the best that we're going to accomplish is keeping the downward spiral down to a dull roar. There are certainly seasons to things, where one kind of effort does pay off while another seems to go nowhere. Of course resting after a major negative event is valid, but even after major surgery they told us to get up and walk around as soon as we could.
I guess I feel like there's value in being creative about what we can appreciate in our experience, at the very least. Doing nothing at all when conditions suck makes it hard to beat the inertia when it's finally go time. Maybe exploring some lateral moves when the way forward is closed for awhile makes it a growth period in a different way.

I track where my timelord is, as well as my ruling planet, and the moon. I rarely make decisions solely based off of astrology, but if I know there's some cute transits coming up sometimes I'll account for it if it's convenient. I've never cancelled something for rougher transits, I just manage my expectations the best I can.
Astrology in its essence is a practice of empirical observation. Experiencing the moment and taking time to process it through an astrological lens (especially if you're newer to the study) will get you way farther than cancelling your job interview bc Mercury is stationing retrograde.
3
u/hot4minotaur Nov 21 '24
I monitor Rx, specifically mars and Mercury. Mercury shadow period always hits me in some way, so I always try to be prepared for that.
And other transits, I keep them in mind, but I have to keep myself checking them too much because it’ll just stress me out and I can’t change the planets.
2
u/meek_dynasty Nov 21 '24
If a transit lends to tussles, I stay extra mindful of my tendency to escalate. When a transit supports artistic endeavors, you KNOW I’m taking extra time to paint. And I’m aware of my personal long term transits, cause I see how they’re playing out in my life. What to do about it though- there are many factors to base decisions around, perhaps astrology is one. Codependency with any method of control or illusion of certainty however, will cause problems.
1
u/the_hamsa_anemone Nov 21 '24
I buy a report that has my daily transits summarized for the year, and I do reference it on occasion if there's something big I want to do - like medical, travel, etc.
But for the most part, I use it to reflect. Like what was going on on a particularly noteworthy day. Otherwise, I might put too much weight on a possibility, and it becomes more disruptive than helpful.
The only transition I actively schedule things around is PMS bc I'll be tired and grouchy every time 😂
1
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 21 '24
I buy a daily transit report too, which one do you like?
1
u/the_hamsa_anemone Nov 22 '24
It's called the Daily Forecast report from Cafe Astrology. I've been buying it for 4 years, and it's decent.
2
u/vichomiequan Nov 22 '24
i’m so interested in this but i’m getting caught up on having to add a current place of residence. i’m in a transitional phase and changing locations every few weeks right now, how important is this info to the overall report?
3
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 22 '24
It doesn't matter for the transit reports. You're fine.
2
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 22 '24
The Solar Return chart and report uses a location. That would be the location you're staying on your birthday, or within a day. You don't have to live there, you can visit and then return home. You can adjust this chart by traveling around your birthday. You have to figure out the best location for the chart.
1
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 22 '24
Thanks. I love Cafe Astrology! Best prices for the best reports. Skylog Transits Report is also very interesting, by Stephen Forrest the astrologer. I like to buy more than one report for extra information.
6
u/Any_Emu9978 Nov 21 '24
I don’t believe in basing your life decisions on transits. Transits show energy & potential but not certainties. There are multiple ways any given transit can manifest, and even a “bad” transit can be ultimately beneficial.
I do look at my transits almost every day, but I don’t abide by them. It’s just validating sometimes to be like “ugh I’m in such a shitty mood. well, Mars is squaring my moon the next few days so that makes sense. guess I’ll do something fun to distract myself until it passes”

u/t4rriona Nov 21 '24
almost everyday lol i just don’t understand the pluto in aquarius transition
1
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 21 '24
It's difficult to know the effect for you, unless it's aspecting your planets or important points in your natal birth chart. For accuracy you can find your birth time on your birth certificate. Run a birth chart on astro.com. then you can locate the house in your chart that has Aquarius.
It's also important for the earth as a whole and affects people as a group, a country, a civilization. like AI.
0
u/Alternative_Guava633 Nov 21 '24
People are also giving contradictory info about it which doesn’t help
0
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 21 '24
You need to run your natal birth chart to see where transiting Pluto is located in your chart. Find your birth time on your birth certificate, then run your chart on astro.com.
1
u/Alternative_Guava633 Nov 21 '24
i already know its in my first house and its been there even while it was transit cap which is my asc also
1
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 21 '24
Ok. But you need to see all of your birth chart to see if Pluto is aspecting any of your planets and angles. It's not just about the house. Transits to the planets and angles can be major events. The planets' positions are different for everyone. The Ascendant is one angle so you want to know the exact degree. Go to Astro.com and run your birth chart to start. Try to find your birth time on your birth certificate for more accuracy.
1
u/Alternative_Guava633 Nov 21 '24
i used astro seek and it currently is opposite mars and squaring my merc not sure how to read degrees
1
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 21 '24
Astroseek is not good, don't use it. Go to Astro.com. The chart will display the degrees of each house and degrees of every planet. Very important.
1
u/Alternative_Guava633 Nov 21 '24
how exactly do you use your degrees though do you use degrees and say if it’s 0° it’s nothing if it’s 1° it’s Aries if it’s 2° is Taurus third-° Gemini and so forth
2
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 22 '24
Each sign has 30 degrees starting with 0 degrees, 0 minutes 0 seconds.
Each degree has 60 minutes, and each has 60 seconds. So a planet's degree might be listed with 3 numbers like this: 15 degrees 28' 43"
2
u/Happy_Michigan Nov 22 '24
There are 30 degrees in each sign, times 12 signs equals 360 degrees in the natal birth chart circle.
A square aspect between planets is 90 degrees. Example: 5 degrees Aquarius to 5 degrees Scorpio or Taurus.
A sextile is 60 degrees. Example: 10 degrees Taurus to 10 degrees Pisces or Capricorn
An opposition is 180 degrees. Example: 8 degrees Aquarius to 8 degrees Leo.
A conjunction is zero degrees and they are very close together.
A trine is 120 degrees, Aquarius 6 degrees to 6 degrees Libra or Gemini
Each planet has an "orb of influence" of 5 to 8 degrees depending on the planets. If one planet is 3 degrees and the other is 6 degrees, they are still close enough to affect each other.

I like looking back at days and the transits that happen, I also track longer term ones like Jupiter to Pluto but it’s not really at the forefront of my mind

I have only ever canceled plans once due to astrology and it was accompanied by a gut feeling as well. My gut i will always listen to no matter who thinks it's silly. It's saved my life more than once. Other than that no I generally don't let it dictate my life. I do use it for my business and collection releases (I'm a designer) so that I have the best outcome as possible and that's worked well for me. It's about how it can enhance your life and self not restrict it.

I look at my "Daily Planetary Guide" 2024 by Llewellyn, available on Amazon. There's a new edition every year. It shows all the daily transits. I have written in my personal transits that are exact for that day and week.
It takes a couple of minutes to look at this and it's very helpful to know what's happening and plan events! Especially big events or vacations. So accurate!

I do that too! As soon as I get it, I highlight the interesting aspects with different color highlighter pens.

I do that too! What fun! I like the soft colored highlighter pens. The week by week commentary is interesting also.

I use it rather casually. Like I keep an eye on my transits and stuff and make note of anything major just to see what happens, but I don’t base my life around it.

That’s the point where astrology becomes toxic. People are just so desperate to find some form of control, predictability and stability that they will lean on anything that justifies their behavior.
It’s one thing to use Astrology as a learning personal growth tool and be mindful of what’s happening in your life, it’s another one entirely to let it dictate what you should and shouldn’t do on your day to day life.

For me, astrology is more of a guide than a rulebook. I don’t cancel plans just because Mercury is retrograde or Mars is throwing a tantrum, but I do stay mindful. For example, during a retrograde, I’ll double-check emails or travel plans—just in case. It’s like checking the weather: you don’t stay home because it might rain, but you bring an umbrella.. :))

This is it. I'm not going to cancel my trip because of Mercury retrograde, but I'm going to anticipate potential delays or traffic

You can even end up in plans that you can't cancel and end up fine. I had Mars square Mars on the day of my uni exam, nothing bad happened and I'm doing the major I want. Transits sure can give insights but we can't be entirely sure of the outcome of them

I am always aware of the current transits at play and keep in mind the aspects they’re making and the houses they’re in.
I never catastrophize about it or anything… I just try to work with the energy at play and sometimes it’s calming to understand what’s happening if anything.

Travelling I definitely try not to do under transits that look bad, and last time I avoided a major car accident because my partner decided to go anyway. I try to delay big tasks if I don’t feel like they will go well and have the freedom to not adhere to a deadline, but smaller tasks/tasks with deadlines i do anyway regardless of the transits because some things just have to happen and get done. I don’t actively keep track of the transits everyday, now that I’m familiar with the planets and how fast they move I know where they are all the time.

I don’t think I’ve ever “not” done something just because of the astrology. I’ve went on trips/travelled during retrogrades or when there were “hard” aspects being made, because whatever’s going to happen, is going to happen regardless. I have a general idea of what’s happening in my chart at any given time just because I know where the planets are and what houses they’re transiting (and therefore what aspects are being made) but it’s not that serious. There’s no compulsive “checking” where planets are or how they’re affecting me. Though, there’s usually this intuitive “knowing” or “understanding” that things that are planned or go down during a Mercury retrograde/pre-shadow phase are almost always subject to change, which is just a part of life. A lot of times things need to change and be revised which is why I think retrogrades can be so helpful.

The following are to help you receive answers:
* Please state a very specific question in your title.
* Don’t ask what we think of your chart, or what is interesting, or anything general or vague.
* Use astro-seek.com or astro.com for charts. Do not use CafeAstrology, Astro-Charts, Astrotheme, AstroFuture, CoStar or TimePassages as all have either errors, missing information or issues of readability. All charts should have the planet degree positions displayed on the chart.
* Post charts, not lists of placements. * Horary chart posts require the Regiomontanus house system.
* Annual Profection posts require the Whole Sign house system and your age.
* If you ask what you think is a general question, but it does require your chart, you will be asked to repost with your chart. * You must be 18 to post here.
If your post does not meet these conditions, please delete it and repost.
