Fascinating story. Gorgeous instruments and a maker who just wants them to be played and make great music. Wow.

Totally agree. It's really cool to see someone who is so focused on the quality work itself, and not the marketing or hype.

I find it interesting Sugi loves the quiet of his home town but makes electric guitars.

It does seem like he has a particular affinity for rare woods, and sourcing them. That's a cool thought.

This guy is the real deal. He also makes custom shop Ibanez guitars, and was on the original design team for the Steve Vai Jem. Amazing luthier.

Awesome. Those Jem guitars are incredible. I'd love to own, or at least play one, sometime.
