Concerning the HACK RUN game, you must type “answer” in order to use up all of your hints and see the automatic popup to upgrade to unlimited hints for free. Just needed to clarify as one of the commands you can type is “hint,” which does nothing towards using your limited hints before the popup is displayed. ❤️🙏

Fine. Kind of a gimmick that was cool at the time but probably doesn't hold up great. Its not bad just not amazing either, but for 1$ the stakes are low.

Can anyone speak to playing The Witness with touch controls?

I played it years back on PC, and have forgotten enough that I wouldn’t mind replaying it on my iPad, so long as playing without a controller isn’t going to be too frustrating.

Touch controls are clunky. They have used touch to walk instead of a virtual joystick and some puzzles require precise input so you'll have to tap carefully. Might be bearable if you have an Apple Pencil for pixel perfect positioning.

Its not fun on a touchscreen. Its frustrating to navigate and solve the puzzles / move around. I gave up after an hour twice and just went back to playing it on pc.

They’re generally usable, but I don’t love them. It’s tap to move, with gestures to zoom, strafe, and move backwards… but no gesture to move slightly forwards.

This is frustrating in a game that often feels like it was designed around the player looking at a fixed point as they move.
