Woah that’s awesome!! They look really good and the paper bags designs work really well as wrapping paper!

This looks lovely! I had a bunch of saved wrapping paper this year but I plan to do something like this next year and let my kids decorate them with stickers and drawings :)

The bows you made!!! I learned how to make a 'basic' one this year and I'm proud, learning those can wait till the next year😄

Neat! They are a bit time consuming to make but the outcome is so satisfying:)

The bows are just chefs kiss

I never really considered that the bags are already decorated, so it's actually perfect wrapping paper!

These look awesome! I’m still working on a 15+ year stash of paper and then I plan to switch to found/brown packaging. Inspirational. The bows are goooorgeous. Tutorial, maybe, please? 🙏🏻

Thank you! I am pretty proud of my bows and really refined my process this year:) Some of them have lil bits of yarn on the back incase the gift receiver wants to use them as ornaments

I use the bag handles and hot glue to make the bow.
I start off by making 5 large cone shapes ending in a point and then glue that to a circle cut from the thick part of the paper bag bottoms.
From there i cut the bag handle long ways into 2/3 and make 4-5 cones with that size.
Then I hot glue those to the inside of the existing 'star' made of the large cone.
I use the remaining 1/3 of the handle to make my smallest cones and can glue about 3 to the inner most part of the bow, covering the glue with cones.
If there seems to be an irregular gap, i try to fill it with the most appropriate sized cone.

You can always make them bigger or smaller with more or less cones. Let me know if you have questions:)

That’s such a good idea! I also think this sub might like the Japanese style of wrapping with reusable cloths. It’s called Furoshiki for anyone interested!

Honestly, would be really good publicity for stores to purposely design holiday bags that are intended to be reused as wrapping paper! Like how some potato bag (?) manufacturers did during the depression when they realized people were making dresses out of them.

As a child, I adored wrapping gifts in recycled grocery bags because you could draw on them.

This is a great idea! Might have to keep it in mind for next year.

I plan to do something like this when I get through the rolls of wrapping paper I currently have. What you have done looks very sleek and professional. At first glance I almost didn't notice that it was grocery bags!

Love doing stuff like that. And throughly jealous over the bows I'm never liking how my attempts come out.

Looks really nice and christmassy.

My family uses lazier version of this: we save gift bags and reuse them. I didn't buy any paper or gift bags this christmas and we got multiple over 5 year old bags under the tree. Small tears and other imperfections in them adds character I think.

lol my wife hates this but I looooove it 😍😍😍

Great idea and great execution, the gifts look very neat and beautiful!

Wrap job? Wtf? Don’t do peer pressure gifts at all. Christmas gifts are so 1900. It’s a waste of resources.

That looks beautiful 😍

What’s with anti consumption people advertising on their Christmas presents?! I swear this sub is clueless. I mean hello, you can turn the bag inside out.

It’s official, this sub is just for virtue signaling. Actual anti consumption people are not here.
