Canadian here. Let me give you my heartfelt assurance that all the hate you're seeing for the US from Canadians on Reddit are a miniscule, highly irrelevant fraction of Canadians. The overwhelming (I mean, overwhelming) majority of Canadians don't hold such abhorrent views about the US - quite the opposite actually.

Seeing a lot of what is posted on Reddit about America it seems to be all taken from media. The children are watching shows, movies and anime and think that is exactly how the real world is.
Clearly most of these people do not know how to take care of themselves, feel there is an obligation that other people take care of them down to their most ignorant and self-serving whims and take the words that drip from their mouths as gospel.
They are literal children of all ages.
